Insurance
1. Get a Prescription
For insurance to bill for massage therapy, a medical issue must first be needed. A doctor or chiropractor needs to diagnose that issue in order to receive a billable session. Even if your plan says you don't need a referral, insurance will not cover the claim without a diagnoses. Under my licensure, I am not allowed to diagnose so a referral will still be needed.
The referral needs to have the following the items:
-ICD 10 Code: billing code for the diagnoses of problem area, ie neck pain etc.
- Treatment: MUST be for myofascial release or massage therapy. If you have a referral that states “physical therapy” I won’t be able to treat under my license.
-Duration: Length of treatment, ie number of weeks or months.
-Frequency: How many times per week or month.
Referrals can be faxed to 907-921-7999

Our billing department will let us know within two business days if you have coverage, and for how many appointments. We will notify you either way when we hear back.
3. Co-pay
If insurance covers the treatment, we can book you a session. Yay! Co-pays or co-insurance will be due at the time of service. If your insurance card does not have the amount printed on it, please contact your provider prior to service to find out.
In the event that insurance does not cover the appointment, you will be liable for the remainder of payment due.
The billing rate for Blue Cross Blue Shield is $160/hr.
The billing rate for all other plans is $260/hr.
Use these rates to determine what your percentage owed will be at time of service.
4. Enjoy Your Sessions
Billable sessions are often capped at 60 minutes. If you would like a longer treatment or a Ritual session, the remainder of the self-pay rate/min will be paid out of pocket.
